# Developer Vesting

25% of released tokens per epoch are in the form of vested developer rewards. These 225 million OSMO are reserved for the development team, but are not transferrable or stake-able until release. This design ensures decentralization of Osmosis by preventing the team from exerting too much influence over the governance process.
